The declared mission of this private organization is "To continuously improve the safety and quality

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), is an international,
non-profit organization. It represents an option to Joint Commission International, or JCI.
CARF's mission is to provide accreditation standards and surveyors for organizations working in the human
services field worldwide. Among the many areas of practice represented in the CARF standards are aging
services; behavioral health, which includes psychosocial rehabilitation and assertive community treatment;
child and youth services; DMEPOS; employment and community services; medical rehabilitation; and opioid
treatment programs.

The mission of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) is to promote, assist
and enhance the delivery of ethical, effective, research-based treatment for alcoholism and other drug addictions. NAATP

and other resources related to the treatment of these diseases; (2) advocating for increased access to and availability
